Who we are

EvenField is a junior sports game roster automation service built for volunteer coaches and managers of junior sports teams in Australia. By using EvenField you agree to these terms.

Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You must provide accurate information when creating your account and keep it up to date.

Your data

You own the data you enter into EvenField - player names, game details, roster information and supporter details.

To protect player privacy, please use first names only. Player and supporter full names are not necessary and should not be entered.

Retention: Past roster data is accessible in a read-only state for 12 months after your subscription expires. Data may be permanently deleted 24 months after the game date. We recommend downloading PDF copies for your long-term archives should you require copies of past rosters.

Fairness and roster accuracy

EvenField generates mathematically fair rosters based on the settings and information you provide. The fairness of any roster is directly affected by the choices you make - game length, time between interchanges, number of players interchanged, positions configured, absences recorded and any manual overrides applied. No two teams will produce identical outcomes because every team's settings are different.

To achieve the fairest possible outcome for your players, coaches and managers should aim to maximise positional variety across the team - avoiding locking players into fixed positions where the sport and age group allow. EvenField will always optimise within the constraints you set, but the quality of that optimisation depends on the flexibility you give it.

EvenField is a tool to assist with fair rostering, not a guarantee of it. Coaches retain full responsibility for the final roster and any decisions made on game day.

Acceptable use

EvenField is provided for the purpose of managing junior sports rosters fairly. You must not use EvenField for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could harm others or in a manner that places an unreasonable load on our infrastructure. Accounts found to be in violation of these terms may be suspended or terminated.

Free trial

Each team gets four free rosters - no credit card required. You can try this across as many teams as you have volunteered to coach or manage. After the four roster limit is reached for a team, a single subscription covers all your teams and allows unlimited roster generation based upon these Terms of Service.

Subscription and billing

EvenField is priced at AUD $39 per year. Your subscription does not renew automatically.

Refunds: If EvenField isn't the right fit for your team, we offer a full refund within the first 14 days of purchase. Beyond 14 days, requests are handled on a case-by-case basis - we're volunteers too, and we'll always try to do the right thing. Contact us at support@evenfield.com.au.

No automated access

You may only access EvenField through the provided user interface. You must not use any automated tools, scripts, scrapers or "bots" to access the service, generate rosters or extract data. Any attempt to automate roster generation or bypass our interface is a violation of these terms.

Availability

We aim to keep EvenField available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by downtime or service interruptions.

You are able to download PDF copies of any roster as a backup for game day should you wish.

Limitation of liability

EvenField is provided as-is. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of the service, including any disputes arising from roster decisions made using the app.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of EvenField after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
